A graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Political Science together with his strong legal background make Sam an important part of the Seegmiller legal team.
Leticia Ostler | Paralegal
Leticia Ostler has faithfully served the legal community for more than 17 years. As a key member of our legal staff, Leticia uses both her drive and compassion in order to help our deserving clients win their cases. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Psychology from the University of Alaska Southeast.
When she is not working tirelessly as an advocate for our clients, Leticia finds time to work out and attends church regularly.
Jennifer Cintron | Paralegal
Jennifer Cintron is a key member of our firm’s legal staff. A veteran personal injury paralegal, she works with our seasoned attorneys to prepare the extensive paperwork required in our litigation department including discovery, pleadings and preparing witnesses for litigating claims on behalf of our injured clients.
Before working at our firm, Jennifer spent her early years as a personal injury paralegal working for the Law Offices of Gene Goldsman in Santa Ana. Later she went on to work for the Law Offices of John Rapillo and Bisnar Chase, both in Newport Beach.
Jennifer obtained a paralegal certificate at Watterson College in Pasadena in 1995.
A native of New York City, Jennifer became interested in the legal profession after she got hooked on watching the television show LA Law. “I was so fascinated by it,” she said. She moved to Los Angeles when she was a teenager, but Jennifer remains a fan of the New York Mets.
When she is not busy working at our headquarters in Newport Beach, Jennifer likes to read and spend time with her nieces and nephew as well as her cat Simon.
James Palmer | Legal Assistant
James Palmer is a straightforward legal professional with a passion for technology. Clients say he’s easy to talk with and put their trust in him to help them understand the complexities involved in their case. James earned his bachelor’s degree from California State Sacramento in Communications.
Adam Jenner | Korean Marketing/Legal Assistant
Adam Jenner handles marketing and case management for our Korean department. Jenner is one of several legal staff members at The Seegmiller Law Firm who are fluent Korean speakers.
His vibrant background includes managing a Korean all-girl pop group, handing international relations for a television documentary production company and working for an import export business.
Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics as he traveled around the world attending first the Otago University in New Zealand where he was born, and also the University of Utah and the University of Auckland.
He grew up in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada with his family, but served as a missionary for two years in Korea where he stayed another four years to work and became fluent in Korean.
Indeed Adam has always been a globe trotter, but he still finds time to practice his golf, play some basketball and play music on the piano and guitar.
Melissa Plovie | Intake Specialist
Melissa is one of the first people our clients speak to at The Seegmiller Law Firm. She is a dedicated member of our intake team and says the best part of her job is helping people. It makes her happy to know that our clients are in good hands and she helps people feel at ease whether they speak English or Spanish.
Prior to working for our busy law firm, Melissa came to us from the other side of the court room as she worked as a legal assistant for a criminal defense law firm in Orange County. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice at Argosy University in Orange. She later obtained her certification as a Spanish interpreter from the Southern California School of Interpretation.
A native of Santa Ana, California, Melissa now calls Anaheim Hills her home and she has two young daughters who are the loves of her life. When she is not busy working for The Seegmiller Law Firm, Melissa finds time to work out at the gym, spend time with her girls and relax at home and watch a good movie.
Julia Benjamin | Intake Manager
Julia Benjamin is one of the first people new clients speak to when they contact The Seegmiller Law Firm. She is an attentive listener who is compassionate and truly enjoys being able to help people. Julia has extensive knowledge about the legal system and knows how to communicate the process to people in a straightforward manner.
Prior to working at our Newport Beach headquarters, Julia had worked at another law firm as a client intake specialist handling marketing for the firm. A native of Lyon, France, Julia spent most of her childhood there and also in Italy before moving to Newport Beach when she was 13 years old. English is Julia’s third language. She speaks fluent French and Italian. She attended Orange Coast College and is now pursuing a nursing degree at the University of California at Irvine.
Her volunteer activities include the American Red Cross as well as local hospitals and animal shelters. When she is not working, you can find Julia working out every day whether it’s running, playing basketball, kick boxing or Muay Thai – she is always on the move. She is the only girl in her family and has three brothers. Her mother is a captain pilot at Hawaiian Airlines and her late father was an attorney. Julia’s favorite things include listening to music, going to the beach, photography and traveling.
Sarah Kim | Accounting Manager
Sarah Kim is our financial guru and is in charge of all money matters at The Seegmilller Law Firm. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Kim is responsible for paying out settlements and verdicts to our deserving clients as well as to our dedicated doctors, chiropractors and other providers who are with them every step of the way.
A native of Seoul, South Korea, Kim obtained her bachelor’s degree from the Kookmin University back home before acquiring an Accounting Certificate here in the United States at UCLA Extension. Kim is one of several members of our legal staff who are fluent Korean speakers. Prior to working for The Seegmiller Law Firm, Kim was an accountant at a local CPA firm in Los Angeles for several years where she honed her money management skills.
Outside of the office, Kim can be found on the dance floor spicing things up with a little salsa dancing. Although she’s been active in salsa for the past 10 years, she more recently picked up golfing as a way to spend quality time with her husband James.
Susan Schaben | Marketing, Website Manager
Susan Schaben oversees the firm’s website and marketing including writing the blog, creating video blogs and identifying opportunities for charitable work.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science at the University of Southern California before working at various newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register and the Orange County Business Journal.
The former newspaper reporter has been working in the legal field for two years, but has always had a passion for law. She earned her paralegal certificate in 2011 at Coastline Community college.
She is married to photojournalist Allen Schaben and has two children. Besides being involved in Boy Scouts and being a catechist at her church, Susan enjoys travel, playing guitar and spending time with family.
Shea Thomas | Intake Specialist
Shea is a vital part of our firm’s intake team and is one of the first people new clients talk to when they call our headquarters in Newport Beach. The Southern California native says the most important part of his work is listening to our injured clients and making sure they are well taken care of by our attorneys at our offices in California and Nevada.
Presently, Shea is attending Santa Ana Community College where he is studying psychology and working toward his degree. When he is not working or going to school, Shea focuses on staying fit and loves to spend time working out at the gym lifting weights, snowboarding and enjoying the great outdoors with friends.
Shea lives in Long Beach with his dog Sakari, a Tamaskan wolf breed. He grew up in Westminster with his three sisters and a brother. One thing that is unique about him is he is a triplet with his brother Trent and sister Hannah. While he likes the fact that he has such a close relationship with his siblings, he says the downside is that they always had a shared birthday growing up.
Jennifer Jackson | Receptionist
One of the first people our clients speak to at The Seegmiller Law Firm is Jennifer Jackson. Here at the law firm we often call her Jackson to distinguish her from our paralegal Jennifer and avoid confusion.
Clients say Jennifer is friendly and courteous, but most of all they like how she takes the time to make sure they are taken care of when they call our offices. She is bi-lingual in Spanish because of her Chilean roots from her mother’s side and was raised speaking both languages.
Prior to joining our busy law firm, Jennifer worked as a loan modification specialist at a Newport Beach mortgage company.
An Orange County native who grew up in Mission Viejo, Jennifer recently obtained her associate’s degree in psychology at Saddleback Community College and plans to eventually pursue a career in that field. She now calls the city of Irvine her home and likes the fact that she has a short commute to work.
Outside of the law firm, Jennifer spends her free time painting, staying fit by doing pilates and eating at fine restaurants with friends because, she admits, she can’t cook. Her good buddies are her dogs Buster and Snoop, a Pit Bull and a Shiba Inu respectively.
Paulina Ivette Roa Duenas | Law Clerk
Paulina is licensed as an attorney in Mexico, but she is currently working as a law clerk at The Seegmiller Law Firm while she prepares to take the California Bar exam to become a US attorney here in February 2014.
In Mexico, Paulina worked for the government as an attorney for the Federal Judiciary Court (Poder Judicial Federal) as well as the fiscal procurator at the General Office of the State, both in Mexicali.
Paulina obtained her law degree at the CETYS Universidad Campus Mexicali in Baja, California, Mexico. She is certified in WIPO and has a certificate in English. She also holds a master’s degree in Comparative Law from the California Western School of Law and she studied Italian at the Europass Centro Studi Europea.
Prior to joining our busy law firm, Paulina spent a year working as a translator and legal assistant for the California Innocence Project at California Western Law School. Also, last year she became certified in mediation at the National Conflict Resolution Center of San Diego.
Her hometown is San Diego, California, but she grew up in Mexico and now Paulina calls San Ysidro her home. She is bilingual in both Spanish and English and has basic speaking abilities in Italian and French languages.
When Paulina is not working, she loves to hang out with her “babies” Conan and Mishka, her two Chihuahua dogs. “They are like my babies,” she said. “They are so sweet and they love all people.”
She also spends her time at the yoga studio where she is a certified instructor by the Yoga Association International. Paulina is also a skilled Polynesian dancer. She is certified in Hawaiian, Tahitian and belly dancing. If she is not dancing to music, she may be the one making it as she is an accomplished pianist.
